RIP Bookworm, one of the few cultural oases amongst Derry’s increasingly homogenised city centre shops. I wonder how much I’ve spent there over the years. Less since Ryanair started charging for over-weight luggage, that’s for sure.

Adrian Crowley reckons he sounds like “a heartbroken steam engine whistling Tennyson’s ‘In Memoriam’ as set to music by Leonard Cohen”. Who am I to disagree? Already on his fourth album, he’s clearly one to investigate further.
