This year I’m going for an Olympic-style bronze/silver/gold approach to my favourite music list. So, in some kind of nebulous third place, these are the albums (or individual tracks, in a few cases) that I enjoyed greatly for a month or so, before moving on to newer pastures.

Most were released during 2007, though one or two of them were stragglers from the previous year. In an ideal world I’d say a few words about each of them, but as we’re now into double-digit dates in January, I don’t want to delay things much further than I have already.
However, I’m very happy to entertain discussion, derision, dissent, delight and demands for micro-reviews in the comments, if you fancy a bit of interactivity. I’m already beginning to wonder whether I’ve been a bit too harsh in dismissing Klaxons and Emily Haines at this stage…
