Another quote from The Times, originally published the day before the quote in the previous post. Norman Mailer’s interesting and provocative article also touches on the linked concepts of choice and democracy:

“More power to all who would be ready to live with the indecision implicit in democracy. It is democracy, after all, which first brought the power and virtue of good questions to the attention of the people rather than restricting the matter to the upper classes.”

    I had to Google that, because mystifyingly it seems to have completely passed me by.
    Looks fascinating, I hope they show it again. I was out of the country for two of the three days that it was broadcast last week, so couldn’t have seen it anyway. Seems to cover marginally similar ground to Bowling For Columbine.
